A courtyard in Cameroon. A mother’s hand. And a boy who did not yet know that every moment, even the difficult ones, was quietly shaping him.
I started to see gifts
in everything.
A flame. A fruit. A tear. Different forms of the same lesson: every experience contains something here for us.
Two people can live the same moment.
One sees the rain.
The other looks for
the rainbow.
I gave that way of seeing a name: Positive Focus. The practice of looking for the gift, the lesson, and the light in every experience and discovering that life begins to change when your attention does.
I knelt with my fear
until it lay down
beside me.
What we refuse to face will rule us. What we are willing to sit with, softens.
I learned that gentleness
is its own kind of strength.
A hard world teaches us to harden. A soft heart chooses otherwise. I discovered that compassion, especially toward ourselves, is one of the bravest things we can practice.
Love. Light. Abundance.
I returned to them every morning until they became more than words. They became the lens through which I met life.
I stopped resisting life
and learned to move
with its rhythm.
Everything moves. Seasons. Emotions. Relationships. Energy. The more I aligned with that movement, the less life felt like something to conquer and the more it felt like something to dance with.
Beyond the courtyard.
Beyond the country.
Toward the stars.
I dared to imagine a larger life. And I discovered that what we repeatedly hold in our hearts slowly begins to shape our reality.
Joy was never meant
to be held alone.
I found my people. The ones who remind you that even the heaviest things become lighter when carried together.
Held, and holding.
This is where
strength is stored.
Everything I would go on to build grew from this love.
A whole species,
learning to remember
its light.
From the first fire to artificial intelligence, every generation carried us here. Ours is the first with the power to consciously shape what comes next.
I reached for the world.
And discovered it had been
reaching for me too.
Five countries taught me what one village already knew: beneath our differences, we are reaching for the same light.
Every experience carried a lesson. Every lesson carried me here.
We have always belonged
to one another.
I build technology in service of this truth: to help people remember who they are, reconnect with one another, and flourish together.
That mission has a name.
